(Kuala Lumpur, 15th) YTL Communications Sdn Bhd has become the country’s first communications network operator to launch 5G services. YES communications services will launch 5G services in specific areas of the Klang Valley from today.

Wing K. Lee, Chief Executive Officer of YTL Communications, said that the government implemented this major plan through the National Digital Corporation (DNB), leading the country to a digital and interconnected future.

Wing K. Lee pointed out in a statement today that in conjunction with DNB’s promotion of 5G services in Malaysia, YES has also simultaneously launched multiple YES #FirstTo5G packages, each of which allows customers to enjoy 5G unlimited internet data until April 1, 2022.

At present, 5G services will cover Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and some parts of the Kuala Lumpur city center. It is expected that by the end of next year, YES 5G services will cover the entire Klang Valley.
